Be Part of a Music Hall Style Fundraising Event to Support The Royal British Legion and Oswestry Musical Theatre Company

Oswestry Musical Theatre Company are planning a joint fundraising event with the Royal British Legion, to mark 100 years since WW1.

The concert will be on 2nd September 2018 at The Marches School, from 3–6pm (approximately).

We are looking for as many singers as possible to join the concert; current, past and non-members of OMTC are welcome. There will be some opportunities for Junior chorus members who are currently or have previously been OMTC members.

There will be both singing and acting opportunities.

The open evening for those interested in the concert will be held at Cornerstone Church, Oswestry SY11 2HJ, on 25th June at 7–8pm. The open evening is both for performers, and for volunteers who wish to help with the performance in other ways.

Rehearsals will be held on Monday and Thursday evenings throughout July and August. You will not be expected to attend all rehearsals but we do require a good commitment.

The Musical Director is Kate MacDonald, staging with Rebekah Plaisted, and pianist Helen. Phil Box is looking after everything regarding production and front-of-house.

If you have any questions, please contact Kate via email or text 07515 518594.

Into The Woods Update

Oswestry Musical Theatre Company has begun rehearsals for our upcoming show, Into The Woods. Stephen Sondheim’s acclaimed musical intertwines the plots of several well-known fairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and actions.

Tickets are available from R.J. Christian (Jewellers), Bailey Street, Oswestry, or tickets can be bought online via TicketSource.
