OMTC’s next show, Oliver!, will be on between the 27th and 31st of May 2015.
We need your help!
Are you available to help out backstage or front of house during any of the performances of Oliver! (week ending 31st May 2015), as either:
– stage hand (shifting scenery around)
– stage manager (our stage is fairly small, there’s not that much to manage)
– prop wrangler (make sure the right person gets the right prop at the right time!)
– chaperone (child-herding)
– Tea maker extraordinary
If you can help out, the more shows you can help with the better, but if you can only do 1 or 2, that’s awesome too!
If you can help, please comment here, email email@example.com, or talk to Sam Forster at any rehearsal (normally Mondays and Thursdays at the Marches School)!
Hi everyone, hope you have had a great weekend just to remind you that Children will meet again tomorrow at 6pm, We are preparing for auditions and it will be a split session to explore the scene where Dodger and Oliver meet and then to practice your audition songs.
Seniors from 7:30pm is especially for those wishing to practice audition songs in preparation for Monday 19th Audition day, you will also be able to book your audition time as well.
Thursday’s session will be for Senior members only to practice their audition monologues.
See you tomorrow
Best wishes Sam
Apologies for the late notice here, but if you follow us on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/OswestryMusicals) you should have seen this!
Rehearsals for Oliver have started! We’ve had a music rehearsal so far just to go over what most of us already know, but anyone is still welcome to join us on Thursday the 8th (tomorrow!) at 7:30pm until about 10pm for a Commedia and Melodrama workshop, followed by audition preparation on Monday the 12th.
We’ll be in room C6, in the Wilfred Owen building. If you would like to come along, just turn up! Drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org beforehand if you’d like a friendly face to meet you.
Performances will be at the end of May (Weds 27th through Sat 30th).
Join the director of Oliver!, our May 2015 show in a workshop. If you’re interested in taking part, whether you are an experienced actor or have never been on stage before, get in touch with Sam or Dani. See the above poster or email email@example.com for details.
There are still tickets available for Sleeping Beauty at our online box office http://omtc.ticketsource.co.uk/
Tickets will also be on sale very shortly in Christian’s jewellers on Bailey Street in Oswestry.
Tickets are £10 adults/£8 children, if buying online there is a small booking fee which will be clearly shown when you check out.
This promises to be a rip-roaring pantomime with the familiar Sleeping Beauty story, traditional pantomime silliness and music to keep you humming all night long.
The OMTC committee have agreed that for our Easter 2015 show, putting on a production of Oliver! would be a good option. It’s a popular show, and with relatively recent West End revivals, it is still fresh in many people’s minds.
As of now, we haven’t had a creative team (Director, Musical Director, Producer, etc) come forward and volunteer to do the show.
If you are interested in directing a show for the company, or you know someone who may be interested, please get in touch! If you have any questions, think you may be able to do one role but not know anyone who can do the others, please get in touch and we will see what we can do.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org, or come along to a panto rehearsal (usually Mondays and Thursdays, 7:30-10pm in the main hall of the Marches School, Morda Road, Oswestry, SY11 2AR).
I’ve been asked to post a link that was taken at the Oswestry Fun Day – from Friday 29th August along with the Oswestry farmer’s market.
The video can be found on the OMTC Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/oswestrymusicals/ – join the group to keep up to date with our activities there.
Well done to all involved with the day – working tirelessly despite the weather to give a day of fun to the community, while promoting the company and raising some money!
In a first for OMTC, we have made tickets for our next show, Sleeping Beauty, available to buy online! Initially we’ve made half of the seats in the theatre available to buy online, but if demand is high enough we can make the rest of the seats available.
Tickets are available now to buy from here: http://omtc.ticketsource.co.uk/ – tickets are £10/£8 and groups who buy 10 tickets will get an extra one free.
There is a small booking fee if you book through the website which covers the cost of credit/debit card processing, but for the convenience of not having to make a trip into town, we think it’s worth it!
A quick note – Sleeping Beauty auditions will be taking place on the 30th June. If you’re interested in auditioning for a part, please ensure you’ve filled in and given an audition slip to Sue at the next rehearsal (which is Monday evening, 8pm for adults).
If you need any more information, please comment here, or email email@example.com.
